Handwoven Cotton Flatweave Rug 3x5 – Durable Natural Fiber Design, Earth Tone

A 3×5-foot cotton flatweave rug in earth tones (terracotta, ochre, natural brown) — the largest piece in our cotton rug line. Woven in a weft-faced plain weave where the colored cotton weft completely covers the natural cotton warp, producing a solid surface color with no visible warp threads and a flat, rug-like surface finish.

Construction Details

• Weft-faced construction — the weft is packed so tightly that it covers the warp completely; the surface color and pattern come entirely from the weft; the natural cotton warp is the structural element only
• Earth-tone weft sequence — terracotta, ochre, and natural brown yarns in alternating bands of 3–5 inches; the specific band order and width varies between rugs as the weaver works from a color range rather than a fixed sequence
• Heavy cotton weft, 4/4 weight — the heaviest cotton yarn in our collection; at 3×5 feet the rug weighs approximately 2.1 kg, producing good floor contact and minimal slip
• Overlock edge binding — all four edges finished with a 4-thread overlock in natural cotton thread; stable edge that can withstand vacuuming and furniture legs
• Reversible — weft-faced construction is identical on both faces in mirror image; can be flipped to even out wear

Materials & Care

100% cotton (warp and weft, reactive-dyed weft). Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Wash with similar earth tones on first wash. The 3×5-foot size fits in a standard home washing machine (top-loader with agitator or front-loader); a commercial washing machine at a laundromat is recommended if your home machine is compact.
