Hand-loomed with a weft-stripe pattern in earth tones (terracotta, ochre, natural cream), this 50×60-inch cotton throw is one of our most washable pieces — the 100% ring-spun cotton weft holds dye without bleeding even after repeated machine washes on cold.

Construction Details

• Weft-stripe construction — the stripe pattern is created by changing the weft color every 2–4 inches rather than by printing; the stripes run parallel to the short (60-inch) edge and appear identical on both faces
• Ring-spun cotton, 8/2 weight — ring-spinning aligns fibers before twisting, producing a smoother, stronger yarn with fewer loose surface fibers; 8/2 (8 count, 2-ply) gives a medium-weight cloth that drapes without being stiff
• Earth-tone palette — low-immersion reactive dyes — terracotta, ochre, and cream are dyed at 60°C using fiber-reactive dyes that permanently bond to the cotton cellulose; no discharge or overdye process used
• Twisted cotton fringe, 3 inches — warp ends twisted in pairs and knotted; 100% cotton fringe, same fiber as the body, so shrinkage is uniform in the wash

Materials & Care

100% ring-spun cotton. Machine wash cold on gentle cycle with mild detergent. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Do not bleach. Warm iron if needed. Colors remain stable after repeated washing — do not wash with whites on first wash as a precaution.
